UniFi U7 Lite – dual-band Wi‑Fi 7 access point with 2.5 GbE PoE uplink
Product description
Ubiquiti’s UniFi U7 Lite is a compact, ceiling-mounted Wi‑Fi 7 access point that delivers fast, reliable wireless connectivity in a small form factor. Leveraging the latest Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be) technology and dual-band operation (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), the U7 Lite provides a significant throughput boost over the previous generation while retaining simple PoE-powered installation.
Key Features:
- Dual-band Wi‑Fi 7 connectivity (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) with 4 spatial streams (2×2 MU-MIMO per band).
- Combined wireless throughput up to ~5 Gbps (4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz + 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz) thanks to 240 MHz channel width on 5 GHz.
- 1× 2.5 GbE Ethernet port with PoE (802.3af/at) – high-speed uplink without bottlenecks and simplified single-cable deployment.
- Supports 200+ concurrent clients and covers ~115 m² (1,250 ft²), ideal for small to medium deployments.
- Advanced Wi‑Fi features: MU-MIMO, OFDMA, band steering, wireless uplink/mesh, and 802.11k/v/r fast roaming.
- Seamless integration with the UniFi ecosystem – centrally managed via the UniFi Network application, supporting guest networks, VLANs, Wi‑Fi scheduling, and more.

Summary
The UniFi U7 Lite is an excellent choice for home and office wireless networks that demand high performance at an affordable price point. With support for over 200 concurrent devices and coverage of around 115 m² (1250 ft²) per unit, a single U7 Lite can provide connectivity for a mid-sized space. For larger areas or dense environments, multiple U7 Lite APs can be deployed to extend coverage or create a mesh network for seamless Wi‑Fi across the entire location.
As part of the UniFi ecosystem, the U7 Lite is managed centrally via the UniFi Network application, allowing unified configuration and monitoring alongside other UniFi access points, switches, and gateways. It supports the latest network management features such as guest Wi‑Fi with captive portal and client isolation, VLAN tagging, Wi‑Fi scheduling, and more. Please note that managing the U7 Lite requires a UniFi Network controller running version 9.0.114 or newer (e.g. a UniFi Dream Machine or Cloud Key with updated firmware).
